Lazy Days in Crete and one Excursion to Santorini

When we arrived at our hotel in Crete one of the first things we had to do was laundry. We looked at the price list to use the laundry service at our hotel and it was going to cost 150 euro just to get our socks and underwear done, so we headed off for the laundry mat where we only paid 9. Our hotel is very nice with some beautiful pools, but not much of a beach at the ocean so we have been hanging out at the pool working on our tan. On day two when we went to pick up our laundry we rented a 4 wheeler which was a lot of fun, we took it around the island a bit and just enjoyed looking around. Aunty Maryann was right in her description of Greece, it is not as beautiful as they make it look, it is very desolate and not all the beautiful white stonewashed buildings. Yesterday we took a day excursion to Santorini where you can get some beautiful pictures of the whitewashed buildings and ocean views, but really a day there is more than enough, there is not a lot to see. We got to take a high speed ferry which was really nice. Today we are laying around the pool again and then tomorrow we are off to Athens for two days and then home!
